A couple of weeks ago Mike Ritchey, my good friend and former boss here at the Times, penned a column pitching one of those “wouldn’t it be nice if …” ideas for our community. I was inspired. It doesn’t hurt to dream, especially when those visions entail steps, big or small, that could make Gunnison a better, more interesting, resilient and vibrant place in which to live, work and visit.
