We’ll be remembered for marijuana

Colorado’s grand cannabis experiment is rippling into headlines on many fronts as of late — locally and statewide. Grow operations are cropping up in industrial parks through out the county; drug prevention initiatives are helping to provide a safeguard for youth; and the City of Gunnison is preparing to dive into writing regulations for retail and medical sales. That’s just in Gunnison County. At the state level, Colorado is being sued by two of its neighbors — Nebraska and Oklahoma — for the increased flow of Centennial state pot into those jurisdictions, which the states say is placing a burden on their jails and justice systems.
