Chamber still relevant, viable organization

We hear it all the time: Gunnison needs more events.

This sentiment has risen to the top of discussions as part of our community-driven Downtown Vibrancy Initiative. People like to get together, socialize and have fun. Businesses like it when activities draw a crowd, making our commercial districts feel lively and like a good place to be.

We just had one such event on Tuesday, as the Central Business District including Meadows Mall were transformed into trick or treat zones for kids and families. Tomorrow we have our monthly First Fridays Art Walk, which has picked up incredible momentum over the past couple of years. In a few weeks, one of Gunnison’s most beloved traditions transforms downtown into a winter wonderland: Night of Lights.
