Th e time has come for me to hang up my Gunnison Country Times press credentials.

It’s a bitter-sweet moment, since working here is like belonging to a really cool club, with our own treehouse and secret handshake. It’s hard to give that up. But it’s at least comforting that this transition is far more accurately described as a beginning than an end. The last time I stepped away from being a Times reporter, my family and I left town for a decade. Not this time. We’re staying put and launching a new venture of our own.
