Tom Hennessey has been so successful in establishing “brew pubs” that he even teaches others how to do it. Based on his experience, the founder of Colorado Boy Pizza in Ridgway and Montrose believes Gunnison is a prime spot for a new brewery — even pointing to a vacuum created when the Gunnison Brewery closed last August. “Gunnison is such a prime location for a brew pub — that’s a no-brainer,” said Hennessey. “A younger version of me would be in Gunnison in a heartbeat.”
