Apple Beck (aka Bonnie Lou Beck)

Jan. 23, 1951 – Nov. 2017

Apple Beck passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at Montrose Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her friends. Apple came to Gunnison in 1972 to attend Western State College. While at Western, Apple made long lasting friendships with many people, from all walks of life. She was that kind of person. Generous, fun-loving and loveable.

Apple worked at many jobs in Gunnison before finding her niche at Six Points. She worked at Six Points in Gunnison and Montrose and she loved her clients and they wholeheartedly returned their love to her.

Apple was predeceased by her parents her friend Beth and her four-legged companions, Hans, Rudy and Marmalade.

She is survived by two brothers and a sister and her lifetime friends, Pam, Patty, Deb, Neita and Mervyn, Brenda and Ira, Ziggy and a host of friends and acquaintances in and around Gunnison.

Apple will be missed forever. There will be a celebration of her life at Babb Hall, 307 West Virginia Ave., in Gunnison, Friday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m.

I'm free don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took this hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to war, or play.
Task left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.
