Arlyn Davison

Arlyn Davison was born on Feb. 8, 1958 the third child of Arlyn Sr. and Bonny (Caldwell) Davison. He was raised on a ranch outside of Gunnison, Colo. until he was in the 9th grade. His family moved to Golden, Colo. in 1972. At sixteen Arlyn met Debra Durbin and they became lifetime sweethearts marrying on July 8, 1978. The newlyweds visited Wray and fell in love with the little town and moved in April of 1979. They were blessed with three daughters, Rachel, Shiloh and TJ and sons Jordan and Keenan. Arlyn loved fishing, hunting and shooting, but no love surpassed the love he had for his family. Arlyn supported his family over the years performing a variety of jobs. At the time of his retirement in 2013 he was working for Tallgrass Energy. Arlyn was a long-time member of St. Andrews Catholic Church where he served as a teacher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid supporter of his children’s sports and activities. Arlyn was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004 at the age of 46. He endured many chemotherapies, radiation and numerous surgeries. In early 2017 Arlyn and Deb moved to Greeley, Colo. to be closer to his oncologist. Arlyn battled his disease with faith and determination. On Sept. 4, 2017 Arlyn passed away peacefully with Deb at his side. Arlyn was preceded in death by his father, Arlyn Sr. Arlyn leaves a legacy of family, his mother Bonny Davison, wife Deb, children Rachel and Daniel Southards, Shiloh Davison, Trisha Davison and Aaron Karney, Jordan Davison and Keenan Davison. Arlyn was a very proud grandpa of sixteen children, Isaac, Terek and Hallie Southards, Josiah, Elijah, Arlyn, Matilda, Titus and Remington Hunt, Charly, Tripp, Maddox, Gradi, Lulu and Dekker Karney and Achtonn Davison. Father and mother in-law, Lee and Virginia Durbin, sisters and brothers-in-laws, John and Diana Morgan family, Kent and Mary Reiman family, Leon and Rhonda Durbin family and Larry and Jenifer Proud family.
