Desse Pinckard Anthony

Desse Pinckard Anthony went to be with her Lord and first love, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, July 2. Desse was born in Chipley, Fla., on Nov. 3, 1937. Always obedient to Him, Desse was a remarkable woman who loved all of her family and friends deeply. Having a servant’s heart, she was a wonderful role model, mentor and inspiration to the many she served by leading Bible studies over the years. Having enjoyed almost 55 years of marriage, Desse and her husband, Thomas Anthony, raised their four children, Eve, Lea, Glyn and Clay in Texas, Colorado and Florida, where they developed a love for God’s creation. Desse is survived by her husband, four children and their families including eleven grandchildren; her brother, William Pinckard; her beloved 100-year-old aunt, Kay Angermeier; a niece and two nephews; and numerous cousins whom she dearly loved. Services will be held Thursday, July 23 in Crested Butte.
