Erma Lee Brewster (Watters) born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 23, 1930. She passed away at her residence in Gunnison on April 7, 2016. She was a member of the Gunnison County Pioneer and Historical Society, a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 54, a lifelong member of Elks ladies Lodge Auxiliary in Gunnison and a member of the Gunnison Bridge Club.
She is survived by her sister Louise Guerrieri of Gunnison; brother, Jess Brewster of Bellingham, Wash.; and twin brother, Herman Brewster of Gunnison. Th ree sons and their families; Chriss and his wife Jaquita Watters of Crawford, Colo. and their two daughters, Aspen Watters (Gilden) and her spouse Scott Gilden and Brandy Watters; Jimmy Watters of Gunnison and his two sons Jason and Kevin Watters; Jess Watters of Gunnison and his four kids Michael, Mandy and Taylor Watters and Cassidy Zerkle. Two great-grandsons, Noah and Wyatt Gilden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Watters, son Stanley W. Watters, mother and father, and other family members. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church, with a luncheon immediately following the services at the Gunnison Elks Lodge BPOE.
