U14 softball players ready to become Cowboys

With runners on second and third, an 0-2 count, and down by four with two outs in the inning, the Gunnison U14 softball team was facing their final pitch of the season. As the umpire yelled out the third strike, the team’s season came to an end.
But for four girls on the team, that also meant preparing to take the next step — to high school softball.
