‘How do you know that’s bad?’

Visionary writer Isaac Asimov once wrote, “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.”

To be fair, that’s probably nothing new. Wisdom is the art of choosing well what to do — or not to do — with the emerging knowledge of the day. I expect that sort of perspective has always been on the trailing edge of change, rarely reaching maturity before the next new idea comes along.
