Whatever happened to letting kids live and learn?

A new law took effect Wednesday in Colorado that requires public schools to inform high school students that career paths in skilled labor and the military exist. As if they were oblivious to that fact.

As adults, we sure do bemoan the work ethic of kids these days. And then lead them through life like a leashed Labrador. Hey kids, in case you didn’t know: The sky is blue. Grass is green. Bananas are yellow.
