Housing tax timeline too tight?

Changing strategies this late in the game seems like a recipe for disaster.
Gunnison Valley Regional Housing Authority (GVRHA) learned recently that a possible lodging tax — for which they appeared to be mounting a campaign for a question on November’s ballot — is at odds with state law. According to GVRHA leaders, that leaves a property tax as the most feasible option for securing a dedicated revenue source to address the valley’s housing problems.
