It’s not about the drug, but life

Drug prevention is complicated. As I reflect on my time as Gunnison County Subs tance Abus e Prevention Project’s (GCSAPP) director, I see clearly how our community has helped to grow this organization through the engagement of multiple players. Over the last two years, I hope I’ve helped push GCSAPP further along the prevention continuum. On one side of the continuum is a viewpoint centered on righteousness and drug problems. On the other side, where I stand, is the perspective of there being no actual drug problems. There are only life problems.
