I bought it in 1996 to deliver newspapers. That trusty, rusty, blue Schwinn town bike sure helped me share a lot of stories with the good folks of the Gunnison community over the past 18 years. Primarily, it was my work commuter. I think I wore a groove in the pavement between 320 S. Main, where I live, and 218 N. Wisconsin, where your community newspaper has been housed since 1946. It also served as the “company car” while I was out on assignment.
