Trump is the effect, not the cause

In 2004, an earthquake measuring greater than 9.0 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Indonesia, triggering a tsunami that would cause the deaths of more than a quarter of a million people in 14 countries. It’s considered to be the worst natural disaster in history. 

Like everyone, I was stunned at the images and stories that flooded the news — some heroic, like the 10-year-old girl who saved her family after noticing that the ocean was “fizzing” and understood what that must mean. Other tales — far too many — had tragic endings.
