Special session fails to resolve the problem

An oversight in a state spending bill last spring is costing the Gunnison Valley Rural Transportation Authority (RTA) as much as $70,000 a year.
The local organization is not alone. Denver’s Regional Transportation District reports losing upward of $600,000 per month. Dozens of arts and cultural organizations funded by the Science and Cultural Facilities District are in the same boat.
