Robert Howard Fullmer

Robert Howard Fullmer, age 46 of Gunnison was born on July 23, 1970, and passed away on Jan. 21, 2017. Rob spent his early years in Salt Lake City, and moved to Gunnison at the age of 12. He graduated from Gunnison High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Western State. Rob was an active outdoorsman who loved skiing, camping, fishing, hunting, canyoneering and being outdoors with his family and friends. He left a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him, and his infectious wit is fondly remembered and will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife of 16 years Courtney Fullmer (Peterson), and his sons Caleb, 13, and Colt, 9. He is also survived by his parents JR and Patricia Fullmer, and brothers Jon (children Austin, Mckenna, and Brooklyn), Ryan, and Eric. Courtney’s parents Charles and Sherryl Peterson, and her siblings Ashley (Kevin) Cook (children Danica and Noah), and Craig (Linda) Peterson (children Chelsea, Chloe, and Christian) all mourn his passing as well. A memorial service will be held at the Community Church of Gunnison at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27. A fund for the family has been established on GoFundMe under the name Fullmer Family Memorial Fund, and at Gunnison Savings and Loan under the same name.
