Mountain Spor ts team hosts bike camp

The dry, rocky terrain of Hartman Rocks Recreation Area is just few miles out of town. The steep slopes of Mt. Crested Butte are 45 minutes to the north. Gunnison boasts a variety of seasoned professional mount a in bikers. What more could a mountain-biking camp ask for? Last week, Western’s Mountain Sports team hosted 20 campers for their annual high school cross country mountain bike racing camp. Bikers came from near and far — one from as far away as Washington.
