Western track and field team heads to nationals

Campus is quiet. The aura of transition lingers in the air as Western State Colorado University students are gone for the summer. Yet, several track and field athletes remain. Their job isn’t done just yet. The sun is out, spreading its warmth on the track, and the sky is a clear blue. The temperature reads 40 degrees, but it feels much warmer.
