You have to spend money to make money. This standard business axiom keeps coming back to me as I learn more about the City of Gunnison’s injection of $1 million out of cash reserves into next year ’s budget. I applaud the City Council, especially Councilor Richard Hagan, who initiated the effort, for taking the bold step of re-writing policy governing our tax dollars.
