Leaders say budget, schedule shouldn’t change

On Monday afternoon, a demolition crew finished what gravity and the effects of age had begun 10 days earlier at the site of the Gunnison County Courthouse reconstruction. The remainder of the historic structure built in 1881 — a port ion of the exi s t ing courthouse which designers and county officials had hoped to preserve and incorporate into the new building — was officially scrapped.
