Festival to see changes in response to flows, ailing features

The river — like time — is always moving. It’s always flowing. You can’t stop it, but you can alter it — sort of. Mother Nature has created a few challenges for this year’s Gunnison River Festival, though organizers say it’s only enhancing the event. “I t ’s def ini tely been a challenging year,” Event Manager Cory Vander Veen explained. “The water has been very high. The whole whitewater park flooded two weeks ago.”
