Gunnison team tops charity tournament

“We have decades of pressure on us.” That’s what Gunnison team captain Mike O’Loughlin said with a hint of sarcasm before the championship game against the LumbaJax of Colorado Springs this past Saturday. With the scent of barbecue wafting through the air, the Brent Carlson Hockey Tournament has been transformed into a fun event for the entire community. It’s the last scheduled hockey tournament in Gunnison County, and the home-team made sure to come out on top.
