A celebration and commemoration of the life of former long-time Montrose and Gunnison resident, Mary Alice Hansen, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 1:30 p.m., at Hillcrest Congregational Church in Montrose. Friends and acquaintances are invited to join the family in remembering the life of this remarkable woman, who passed away at age 98 this past spring — early Good Friday morning, April 18, 2014 — in Hendersonville, N.C. A reception and time for visiting will take place at the church immediately fol lowing the service.
