Branham crowned king of Tour Divide

Some may consider pedaling nearly 3,000 miles a victory in itself. Not Gunnison’s Jefe Branham, who won this year’s Tour Divide mountain bike race on Sunday. Branham finished the 2,735-mile race from Banff, Alberta, to Antelope Wells, N.M., in 16 days, 2 hours and 39 minutes to take the win over about 130 other racers. As of press time, a second rider had yet to finish, according to tourdivide.org.
