A troubling reminder for all travelers
One of the most appealing qualities of life in a small town is the ease of navigating our relatively few streets by foot or bicycle. Yet, another accident between a cyclist and vehicle along Tomichi Avenue early this week can’t be looked upon lightly.
The latest incident involved a cyclist apparently attempting to ride her bike through a crosswalk when she was struck. It should serve as a pressing reminder to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists of the need to exercise caution. Especially during the busy season when traffi c balloons beyond typical volume and it seems everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere.
